Obi-Wan has PTSD

Obi-Wan has PTSD

Ben? Ben Kenobi? Boy, am I glad to see you! The Jundland wastes are not to be
traveled lightly. Tell me, young Luke… What brings you out this far? This little droid I think he’s searching for his former
master, but I’ve never seen such devotion in a droid before… He claims to be the
property of an Obi-Wan Kenobi. Is he a relative of yours? Do you know who he’s talking about? Obi-Wan Kenobi… Obi-Wan… Now that’s a name I’ve not heard in a long time… A long time… I think my uncle knows him. He said he was dead. Oh, he’s not dead. Not yet. You know him? Well, of course, I know him! He’s me. I haven’t gone by the name of Obi-Wan since oh, before you were born. Well, then the droid does belongs to you. I don’t seem to remember ever owning a droid? Very interesting. I think we better get indoors. No, my father didn’t fight in the wars. He was a navigator on a spice freighter. That’s what your uncle told you. He didn’t hold with your father’s ideals. Thought he should have stayed here and not gotten involved. You fought in the Clone Wars ? Yes. I was once a Jedi Knight, the same as your father. I wish I’d known him. He was the best star-pilot in the galaxy. And a cunning warrior. And he was a good friend. Which reminds me… I have something here for you. Your father wanted you to have this when you were old enough. What is it? Your father’s lightsaber. For over a thousand generations, the Jedi Knights were the guardians of peace and justice in the Old Republic. Before the dark times. Before the Empire. How did my father die? A young Jedi named Darth Vader … … who was a pupil of mine until he turned evil … … helped the Empire hunt down and destroy the Jedi Knights. He betrayed and murdered your father. Vader was seduced by the Dark Side of the Force. Now the Jedi are all but extinct.

  1. LUKE:How did my father Die?

OBI-WAN:A Young Jedi cut his legs and arms and let him burn alive

    LUKE:Do you know him?

    OBI-WAN:Of course i know him,he is me

  2. How did my father died?
Obi-wan : *Cut Anakin in pieces and let him burned to the death in lava*
Also Obi-wan : Darth vader killed your father.

  3. The flashbacks and everything are godly. If they don’t do something like this in the remake (if there is going to be but I don’t think they should) then I’m going to lose it.

  4. "For over 1000 Generations the Jedi Knights were the guardians of peace and justice in the Old Republic, before the dark times.."

  5. What's crazy is that his facial expressions are perfectly relevant for everything even before the newer stories were completed.

  6. Man, having add those clips from the Episodes I – III sure makes more of an impact here. Like how some people said they were expecting this video to be funny/joke in a way but man, didn’t expect it to be that deep, rip Obi-Wan Kenobi.

  7. tfw when it cuts back to dark days of the past, but all the scenes take place in vibrantly colored video-game worlds
    prequels in a nutshell

  8. Every once in a while this gets recommended to me, so I watch it again and again and again. And every time it really hits me hard.
The first time I read the title I thought this was something like Youtube Poop style, but I'd never thought of something like this.
The editing, the music everything's really emotional. Great video!

  9. Luke: "how did my father die?"
Kenobi: told the truth "I chopped his limbs off and let him burn"
Luke: "WHY WOULD U DO THAT!"
Kenobi: "HE WAS MY BROTHER LUKE…. I LOVED HIM"

Vader: "You're dad is alive Luke" rips off his mask "I am your…." dies cause he ripped his oxygen cord when he ripped his mask off

Star Wars story: The Room CHEEEP CHEEP CHEEP CHEEEEEEP

  10. I'm glad Alec Guinness passed away before he could see what Disney did and is doing to his legacy. I wouldn't want to see him bend down and roll over like everyone else has in hollywood.

  11. I fucking love this , this is why the fandom should be respected. We can give deeper meaning to a scene and add our love of the franchise.

  12. When you put it in this context, it makes sense that Obi-Wan didn't mention Vader was Luke's father. He was in denial, I suppose.

  13. I approve this edit! Well done.
May the Force be with you!

Star Wars will always live on in our hearts in the way George envisioned it. No matter what Disney has done to it.
Disney killed Star Wars, and replaced it with a dark and twisted version of its self. Beware, money, greed and big ears are paths to the Dark Side!

  14. Lord Creator. That's how they got his name. They saw an asteroid hit went to site the Sith Lord will cause damage like this. They called Lord Creator at first and someone said 3 months before movie was to be made said yo that creator and vandalizers. Lord Vader was born 6 weeks later.

  15. wonderful job! I absolutely love this video, so charged with emotion, and great editing showing the story and the point of the premise. it's an absolute gem that I've seen about 3 to 4 or 5 times now and I'm sure I'll come back to it again. thank you for this, is really great 🙂

  16. I think this is so touching that Obi-Wan sees young Anakin in Luke. He is like his old apprentice reborn, but without anger issues and lust for power. In a way I guess, meeting with Luke in Ep.4 kind of resurrected Obi-Wan as well as it resurrected Anakin in Ep.6.
When Obi-Wan was looking at Luke for the last time while dueling Vader, I think he saw this little farm boy full of hope and kindness, which was little Anakin before all the terrible things happened. And Obi-Wan died happy, knowing that The Chosen One will save the galaxy.

  17. Fuck the people that hated the prequels this emotionally hit the feels from watching the first episode to this. Obi-Wan haves been through shit watching his master Qui-Gon die and has promised to take care of Anakin and taught him to be a jedi. Believing that he was the chosen one as qui gon have told him and at this exact moment he has a hard time remembering about lukes father through the dark times thinking he failed to lead him to the right path it's like this is how George Lucas would have wanted done from that rough look on Obi-Wan's face it's almost perfect I wouldn't blame him for not telling Luke everything. I really love this video especially for the chilling music with the prequels clips as flashbacks good job creator of this video you are truly a good Star Wars fan. Episode 1 through 6 to me will always be the ture Star Wars everything else I don't consider Canon except for maybe the video games like Bounty Hunter on the PS2 or Jedi Knight Series.

  18. Ta vidéo est géniale ! Dommage que tu aies publié la version originale, mais je comprends que tu touches un plus large public ainsi.

  19. Alec was one of the few people who thought that the movie would do really well. His signing deal included a cut of the profits and made a ton of money

  20. When Luke ask him how his father died the acting by obi wan is so amazing that is exactly how ptsd feels and guilt. He couldn’t tell him he did it.

  21. I had never thought about all the shit Obi's been through. His master was murdered right in front of him, he was betrayed by the soldiers he had been fighting alongside for years, every friend he ever knew in the Jedi order was killed, and he had to kill his own Padawan to which he was both a mentor and a true brother.

No wonder he no longer has the same incredible confidence he once did.

  22. I feel sorry for Obi Wan. I can only imagine the pain and nightmares he had of Anakin burning on. Mustifar. Anakin was like his little brother. He loved him and promised his previous master to train him to save the galaxy and bring valence to the force. And he failed him. He must of gone through weeks of pain and suffering.

If they make an Obi Wan Kenobi movie. They need to include what he went through after he left Anakin on mustifar to die and burn.
